RISE UP is an open-source platform that unites arts, hospitality, and tourism partners to develop a comprehensive array of initiatives and plans to relaunch and offer Calgarians unique, safe, live and online experiences.

RISE UP’s mission is to foster arts sector recovery by connecting Calgarians to the arts and live experiences they love most in the safest manner possible.

As the RISE UP platform grows, so does our list of partners! We are amazed by the creative ways our community is continuing to provide arts experiences to audiences. 

Have an idea for a RISE UP event? Our Partner Catalogue is a new resource to expand the conversation and connect like-minded partners to get new ideas off the ground! This is a resource for art’s industry partners who are committed to safely re-launching live experiences and events. You can participate by; listing your information and referencing the information of others who are interested in collaborating. 

The Partner page also acts as a resource for the RISE UP team. We will connect and communicate new opportunities, strategies and initiatives to interested partners.

RISE UP Partner Catalogue

Become a RISE UP Partner now

To be listed as a RISE UP partner, you must provide, and agree to the following information; 

  • Applicants must fall under one of the following categories:
    • Artist (s) (any artistic discipline who pursue a professional practice)
    • Industry (i.e. decor company, event producer, booking manager, etc.) 
    • Local venue with space to support live events and/or experiences(hotel, banquet space, lounge, etc.) 
    • Industry Stakeholder (don’t fit into the category above but want to find meaningful ways to connect and contribute? List your information here.)
  • Applicants must provide a link to their professional website or social media page
  • All venues and industry support businesses must display a commitment to following the most current Alberta Health and Alberta Health Services guidelines on their website
  •  Applicants must be based in Calgary (and surrounding area)

*Once your application is submitted, please allow up to one week for your business to be listed in the partner catalogue. If we have any questions, we will contact you via email.

RISE UP Relaunch Lunches

The Relaunch Lunches were created to bring together partners from the arts, entertainment and hospitality industries to look at new ways of doing things given the times we find ourselves in. It has been a chance to talk about things that have worked thus far, ideas for new opportunities, and to encourage the community to think about what they can do within their organizations, or as individual artists. Its intent is to connect people and ideas for collaboration moving ahead.

  • Advocacy Groups
