Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary is a non-profit charitable organization that is committed to the rescue and education of wolfdogs, as well as the education and conservation of wild wolves. The sanctuary is situated on 160 acres of scenic foothills located east of the Rocky Mountains near Cochrane, Alberta. The Interactive Tour allows visitors a unique hands-on experience with our various packs of wolfdogs. This is a great opportunity to learn the key differences between wolves and dogs, and dispel some of the many myths surrounding these magnificent animals. The Intro Tour gives visitors the opportunity to learn all about the sanctuary and get an introduction to what wolfdogs are all about. This is a great way to photograph one of our packs of wolfdogs as well as having full access to one of our wolfdog experts. The Sanctuary Walk offers a very natural interpretive walk through the sanctuary allowing visitors to see various enclosures and the packs that reside within them. Get up close with various packs of wolfdogs and learn the key differences between wolves and dogs. Get the chance to interact with some of the wolfdogs and plenty of photo opportunities. You’ll separate fact and fiction about these magnificent animals and understand the importance of wolf conservation to our ecosystem.

Pre-book the Interactive Tour if you get the chance! This tour books up 1-2 weeks in advance. The Sanctuary Walk and Intro Tour accept drop in's, so this is a great alternative if you are unable to book the Interactive Tour. Group booking options are available.
