What to Expect

Downhill Karting at WinSport is part go-kart, part toboggan, and 100% powered by the pull of the hill; no engines, just you, the track, and gravity. With more than 50 twists and turns packed into a 1.8-kilometre paved course, it’s a rush you control completely. Brake to slow down, release to zoom. Simple enough for kids, exciting enough for adults – it truly is an all-ages adventure!

Set on the slopes of Canada Olympic Park, each ride starts with a chairlift to the top, offering unmatched views of the city. Then it’s your turn to take control. Whether you're riding with friends, laughing with your kids, or just soaking in the fun, once is never enough

The Story Behind the Track

This fast-paced adventure has been a local favourite since 2013, operated by Skyline, the New Zealand company behind the original gravity-fuelled experience. The very first track opened in Rotorua, NZ in 1985, and the concept has since taken off around the globe. With locations in Singapore, South Korea, Mont-Tremblant, and more, Calgary's track is Skyline's single longest of any location.

Good to know

  • Riders must meet minimum height requirements.
  • Helmets provided, closed-toe shoes recommended.
  • Bad weather can sometimes impact operations so it’s good to check the forecast on the day of your visit in case the site needs to close.

Pro tip: During the busiest periods in July and August, try going midweek or in the morning to beat the crowds. And if you want a souvenir be sure to grab a digital photo package to relive your Karting experience!
