City Wide Street Art Festival
AUGUST 3 - 18, 2024 The Beltline Urban Murals Project, a community driven initiative transforming the centre of Calgary into an expansive open-air urban art gallery. BUMP brings accessible public art to Calgary with work that features local, national and international artists.
Why Go
AUGUST 3 - 18, 2024 Started in 2017 as the Beltline Urban Murals Project, the community-led, artist-focused BUMP Festival has exploded to become a city-wide street art movement reimagining public spaces through the visual arts and expanding the capacity of the local arts community. BUMP Festival brings accessible public art to Calgary with work that features local, national and international artists. Experience free outdoor programming and activities for nearly 30 days each year.
What's Great
With over 110 murals on display in and around the Downtown Calgary area, the urban art gallery BUMP has built makes for an excellent sight. With these installations visible all year round, walking from site to site makes for a colorful day of exploration and admiration. If you are around for the month of August during the festival itself, you will see activations across the Beltline that include mural tours, outdoor parties, cinema & artist talks. You might even catch some live paint site activations!
