The Newell region is home to the communities of the City of Brooks, Town of Bassano, Villages of Duchess and Rosemary, and the County of Newell. Located in the heart of Southern Alberta, within two hours of Calgary, Lethbridge, and Medicine Hat, the Newell region is the perfect place for a day trip or weekend getaway. Home to over 136 individual cultures and are well known for being "The City of 100 Hello's". The region's main attractions include Dinosaur Provincial Park, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Our unique landscapes make the region a desirable location for film and television production including titles like Heartland, RV, and The Revenant.
