Contemporary Art Exhibitions
A world-class 15,000 sq.ft. contemporary art gallery located in Inglewood, presenting upwards of seven exhibitions annually with free learning programs for all ages, free group tours, free parking and a bookshop!
The largest privately funded, non-commercial contemporary art gallery in Calgary. 10,000 square feet, the gallery programs three exhibition changes per year for the fall, winter, and spring/summer seasons. In addition to the main exhibition space on the fourth floor of the Atlantic Avenue Arts Block, Esker Foundation hosts the Project Space at street level. In addition to exhibitions they provide concurrent contextual talks, tours and hands-on workshops.
As a leader in the Calgary arts community, Esker presents relevant, accessible and engaging contemporary art exhibitions, forward-thinking educational programs, and innovative publications. Programs are developed in response to, and inspired by, current exhibitions. Esker reflects on current developments in local, regional, and international art and ideas; creates opportunities for public dialogue and supports the production of groundbreaking new work and research.
The Esker space is a work of art itself and can be viewed free of charge as no admission is charged. Group tours on request!
