For almost 100 years, Alberta University of the Arts (AUArts) has shaped the creative and cultural landscape of Alberta, Canada, and beyond as one of only four art, craft, and design universities in the country. The renowned Illingworth Kerr Gallery is open daily to the public and is one of Calgary’s best places to see cutting edge exhibitions by international artists and designers. You don’t have to be enrolled at AUArts to explore your creative side and learn incredible artistic skills. The university offers public art classes and workshops throughout the year for adults, teens, and kids, as well as bootcamps and micro-credentials for professionals who want to advance their career in animation and digital design programs.

The twice-annual Students’ Association Show + Sale is an opportunity to buy student-made art, jewellery, ceramics and more at accessible prices. You can own a treasure by an emerging artist and support their education!
