CONTEST SPONSOR: The “#LOVEYYC Twitter Giveaway” contest (the “Contest") is sponsored by Tourism Calgary and their participating co-sponsors (each called a "Co-Sponsor"), collectively represented by Tourism Calgary (TC) (the "Contest Sponsor").

CONTEST PERIOD: Four separate contests will run across various dates in November 2020 (the “Contest Period”), as specified below:

Week 1: The Contest commences at 9 a.m. on November 2, 2020 and closes at 12 p.m. MT on Wednesday, November 4, 2020.

Week 2: The Contest commences at 9 a.m. on November 9, 2020 and closes at 12 p.m. MT on Wednesday, November 11, 2020.

Week 3:The Contest commences at 9 a.m. on November 16, 2020 and closes at 12 p.m. MT on Wednesday, November 18, 2020.

Week 4:The Contest commences at 9 a.m. on November 23, 2020 and closes at 12 p.m. MT on Wednesday, November 25, 2020.

ELIGIBILITY: This Contest is open only to Calgary residents (residents with a Calgary postal code in their address) who reply to the relevant contest post on Tourism Calgary’s Twitter account (https://twitter.com/TourismCalgary) during the applicable Contest Period, excluding residents of Quebec (the “Contest Eligibility”), who at the time of entry, have reached the age of majority in the province of Alberta, except employees, representatives or agents (or persons with whom such persons are domiciled, whether related or not) of the Contest Sponsor, its Co-Sponsors, subsidiaries, affiliates, prize suppliers and advertising and promotional agencies.

HOW TO ENTER: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. To enter the Contest, you must complete the following during the appropriate Contest Period:
Eligible entrants must reply to the appropriate Twitter post via Twitter and answer the question posed by Tourism Calgary. Retweets with replies will not be considered qualifying entries.
Once you have fully completed the entry method and submitted your entry as described above, you will receive one (1) entry into the Contest (the “Entry”). Multiple replies will be considered one entry per week.
Limit one entry per person. Multiple replies will be considered as one entry per person per week. If it is discovered that any person has attempted to enter more than once or create or use multiple accounts to enter the Contest, then (in the sole and absolute discretion of the Contest Sponsor) he/she may be disqualified from the Contest and all of his/her Entries voided. Your Entry may be rejected if (in the sole and absolute discretion of the Contest Sponsor) you do not abide by Twitter’s Terms of Service (https://twitter.com/en/tos).
All Entries are subject to verification at any time. The Contest Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to require proof of identity and/or eligibility (in a form acceptable to the Contest Sponsor – including, without limitation, government issued photo identification) to participate in this Contest. Failure to provide such proof to the satisfaction of the Contest Sponsor in a timely manner may result in disqualification. The sole determinant of the time for the purposes of a valid Entry in this Contest will be the Contest server machine(s).
All eligible Entries received during the Contest Period (within the appropriate Week Contest Period and in accordance with the Contest Rules, will be entered into the random prize draw.

IN ORDER TO WIN: Before being announced a prize winner, a selected entrant must first correctly answer, unaided, a mathematical skill-testing question asked through the contest form provided to the selected entrant. Second, the selected entrant must complete the Contest Sponsor's Contest Form (the “Contest Form”) confirming acceptance of the contest’s terms and conditions as well as the Prize as awarded and releasing the Contest Sponsor, and others named in the release, from any and all liability that may arise in relation to the Contest, his/her participation therein and/or the awarding and use/misuse of the Pize or any portion thereof. If a selected entrant, in the sole and absolute discretion of the Contest Sponsor,: (a) fails to correctly answer the skill-testing question; (b) cannot accept a prize as awarded for any reason; (c) fails to provide proof of identity; and/or (d) is found to have violated the Contest Rules or otherwise does not meet all Contest conditions, then he/she will be disqualified (and will forfeit all rights to the Prize) and the Contest Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to randomly select an alternate eligible entrant from among the remaining eligible Entries received to date during the Contest Period (in which case the foregoing provisions of this section shall apply to such new selected entrant).
The decisions of the Contest Sponsor are final with respect to all aspects of this Contest, including but not limited to eligibility of entrants and the correctness of their answer to the skill-testing question.

CONTEST DRAW DATE: The random draw to award the weekly prizes will take place in Calgary, AB on all Wednesdays of November after the close of the Contest Period (the “Draw Date”), with prizing corresponding to the week drawn.

PRIZE: There are 4 various weekly prize packages that range in value from $100-$1,000. Each weekly prize will be identified closer to the beginning of the contest week.
Note price values are approximate, and includes applicable taxes, and is in Canadian Dollars. Prize must be accepted as awarded and cannot be transferred or assigned to another person, substituted for another prize, or exchanged in whole or in part, for cash, except at Contest Sponsor’s option.
No substitution or cash equivalent will be offered or accepted.
The winner is solely responsible for all expenses that are not included in the Prize description above, including, but not limited to, all travel costs within Calgary, and all other costs associated with: (a) any upgrades that he/she may request (and that may be permitted by Contest Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion) and/or (b) any insurance, travel and/or fuel. Should the Prize package include a hotel stay, the winner will be required to present a credit card for the hotel to cover any incidentals.

ODDS OF WINNING A PRIZE: The odds of winning the Prize depends upon the total number of eligible entries received during the Contest Period.

NOTIFYING SELECTED WINNER: The Contest Sponsor or its designated representative will make a minimum of three (3) attempts to contact the selected entrant by telephone or email (using the information provided on the Contest Form) within three (3) days of the Draw Date. The selected entrant will be disqualified if (a) she/he cannot be reached after three (3) attempts; or (b) the Contest Sponsor determines, in its sole and absolute discretion, that she/he is ineligible according to these Contest Rules; or (c) that person does not comply with the Contest Rules including correctly answering the skill-testing question; or (d) if his/her prize notification is returned to the Contest Sponsor as being undeliverable. The Contest Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to randomly select an alternate eligible entrant from among all remaining eligible Entries received during the Contest Period (in which case the foregoing provisions of this section shall apply to such new selected entrant). Arrangements for receiving a prize will be made directly between the confirmed winner and the Contest Sponsor.

CORRESPONDENCE AND COMMUNICATION: All correspondence and communication with entrants in connection with this Contest will be by email or telephone, except as otherwise noted. Entrants agree to abide by these Contest Rules. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and is void where prohibited.

RELEASES: By participating in and accepting a Prize in this Contest, the winner (i) confirms compliance with these Rules; (ii) acknowledges acceptance of the Prize as awarded; and (iii) consents to the publication, reproduction and/or other use of his/her first and last name, Twitter account name, municipality, voice, statements about the Contest, picture (both moving and still) and/or other likeness, without further notice or compensation, in any publicity or advertisement carried out by or on behalf of the Contest Sponsor in any manner whatsoever, including print, broadcast or the internet. The prize winner agrees to release the Contest Sponsor, including without limitation, its Co-Sponsors, prize suppliers, advertising and promotional agencies and their assignees, affiliates, respective officers, directors, agents, representatives, successors and associates (the “Releasees”) from any and all liability, claims or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages or lost persons and property which may be sustained in connection with this Contest, his/her participation therein and/or the awarding and use/misuse of the Prize or any portion thereof.

NO LIABILITY: The Contest Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to change the terms of this Contest, suspend or cancel it (or to amend these Rules), at any time and in any way, without liability on the part of the Contest Sponsor, and without prior notice. The Releasees shall not be liable for late, lost, stolen, damaged, incomplete, misdirected, mislaid, illegible or unintelligible Entries (all of which are void). All Entry materials become property of the Contest Sponsor. If, in the sole and absolute discretion of the Contest Sponsor, the administration or integrity of the Contest is compromised or corrupted at any time, the Contest Sponsor reserves the right to modify, suspend or cancel the Contest or to disqualify any entrant’s Entry in the Contest or entitlement to the Prize. Any attempt to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest in any way (as determined by Contest Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion) is a violation of criminal and civil laws and, should such an attempt be made, the Contest Sponsor reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law. The Contest Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, and without prior notice, to adjust any of the dates and/or timeframes stipulated in these Rules, to the extent necessary, for purposes of verifying compliance by any entrant or Entry with these Rules, or as a result of any technical or other problems, or in light of any other circumstances which, in the opinion of the Contest Sponsor, in its sole and absolute discretion, affect the proper administration of the Contest as contemplated in these Rules, or for any other reason.

REFERENCES TO OTHER TRADE NAMES: The Contest Website may contain references to other company, brand and/or product names. These company, brand and/or product names are used for identification purposes only and may be trade-marks of their respective owners. The images of people or places displayed, forms, structures and graphics displayed or found within the website are either the property of, or used with permission by Tourism Calgary and may be, but are not necessarily, sponsored by or affiliated with any owners of the other company, brand or product names appearing on the website, and Tourism Calgary makes no representations about them, their owners, their products or services.

PRIVACY: By entering this contest, each entrant expressly consents to the Contest Sponsor, its agents and/or representatives, storing, sharing and using the personal information submitted with his/her Contest Form only for the purpose of administering the Contest and in accordance with the Contest Sponsor’s Privacy Policy, unless the entrant otherwise agrees. DISCREPANCY: In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the terms and conditions of these Rules and disclosures or other statements contained in any Contest-related materials, including, but not limited to: the Contest Form, websites and/or point of sale, television, print, online or other advertising or correspondence; the terms and conditions of these Rules shall prevail, govern and control.
