Join us for the second annual Homegrown Short Film Showcase, a celebration of Alberta’s freshest filmmaking voices.

Rooted in community and built for creators, the Showcase is a space where you just might discover the next Spielberg before they break into the mainstream. Across two unforgettable nights, you’ll experience thought-provoking short films, inspiring panels, great company, and an atmosphere charged with creative energy.

This year, we’re proudly supercharged by Calgary Arts Development and Homegrown Arts & Media Collective.

Tickets are available for each night or as a discounted two-day pass.

NIGHT ONE: INDUSTRY NIGHT
Networking for Underdogs
Night One kicks off with an evening built for connection. We’re mixing newcomers with veterans from across Alberta’s film scene, breaking the ice to spark collaboration and future projects.

The night is fueled by big conversations and even bigger dreams! Oh, and a specialty beer brewed just for this event by our partners at Stonyslope. Come meet your next creative partner, mentor, or collaborator in a relaxed, energizing space.

NIGHT TWO: SCREENING NIGHT
Main Screening Event!
This is the big one! Night Two features a powerful lineup of short films from Calgary and Alberta’s most promising emerging and independent filmmakers.
Every selection was chosen for its voice and heart. stories by underdogs and rising stars.

We’ll close the night with a filmmaker Q&A and a community reception featuring free nibbles, audience choice voting, and some serious networking opportunities!
