A POWERFUL DOCUMENTARY: 20 YEARS IN THE MAKING

About the Film:
Masterfully directed by Peabody Award-winning filmmaker Raymond Zhang and accompanied by an evocative score from Emmy Award-winning composer Daryl Bennett, State Organs has garnered 39 international awards and was an official contender for Best Documentary Feature at the 97th Academy Awards. Based on true events, the film chronicles the heart-wrenching journeys of two families as they relentlessly searched for their loved ones who mysteriously disappeared while in police custody. Their pursuit of truth uncovered a systemic, state-sanctioned forced organ harvesting operation—one that continues to this day.
