Franco Fest Calgary (FCC), is Calgary's first multicultural Francophone festival, created in August 2011. The festival is an initiative of the Portail de l'Immigrant Association, a non-profit organization based in Calgary, Alberta. Franco Festival Calgary celebrates the rich diversity of Francophone cultures from Africa, Europe, Asia , the Americas, and the Indigenous communities across Canada, highlighting the vast scope of Canadian heritage. Since its inception, the FFC has served as a platform for cultural exchange through music, dance, food and arts, fostering inclusion and community connections.
Franco Festival Calgary 2025 will be taking place from September 19 to 20 at Prince's Island Park. On September 19 at 6 p.m., visitors can enjoy a free Francophone open-air movie night, and the next day, September 20 at 11 a.m., experience live performances, authentic cuisine and interactive cultural displays- all in a fun, family-friendly atmosphere! The event promises to be a vibrant celebration of Canada's multicultural heritage. Franco Festival Calgary is a must-attend event for those looking to get a taste of the global Francophonie, right in the heart of Calgary.
