SEPTEMBER 16 - 20, 2015 

On September 16 - 20, in Calgary, Beakerhead kicks off a week-long smash up of art, engineering and science events with mechanical creatures, multi-story art installations, talks from famous and soon-to-be famous scientists and astronauts, and performances by people and machines.

There are more than 60 arts, science and engineering events and performances happening in Calgary over five days for Beakerhead, open to all ages, including:


  • Free outdoor performances and installations
  • Fun, family-friendly, hands-on events, like Little Big Street, the world's first street scene of human-sized nests, bubble meeting rooms and giant liveable lotus flower, and Four-to-Six with science and music experiments on Stephen Avenue Walk
  • Late night laboratories, science buskers and street parties
  • Interactive digital and robot-themed theatrical performances
  • Theatre performances and presentations from famous and soon-to-be-famous artists, engineers, astronauts and scientists
