Unpaid late fees. Dog-eared pages. Spoiling the surprise ending of an angst-filled tween vampire novella. These are just a few of the offences that might have landed you in the Locked Library — an outer space maximum security prison for library crimes. You have one chance to escape! Explore the prison, solving puzzles as you go. Defeat the Locked Library’s security measures and you’ll jettison to freedom in an escape pod. Locked Library is a stellar, one-night-only escape room event on Friday, September 15, 2017, during Beakerhead. 1000 people will play concurrently on all 6 floors of the Central Library. Your adventure will last up to three hours (7pm - 10pm), with a grand prize awaiting the first team to escape. Get tickets in advance by registering your team of four (recommended) at libraryafterdark.ca, or be teamed up with other singles, couples, and trios at the event. All proceeds support the Calgary Public Library. Puzzle difficulty geared towards adults.
