Historical Luxury
Deane House is one of Calgary's best known historic sites, popular with city residents and visitors alike. Originally built in 1906 for the Superintendent of Fort Calgary, Captain Richard Deane. It is the only building left from the original site and was moved across the Elbow River in 1929 to its current location. Recent restoration included the neighbouring Hunt House, Calgary’s oldest building in its original location.

What's Great
Deane House’s expertly prepared contemporary Canadiana menu is designed to pay homage to the restaurant’s unique setting in one of Calgary’s oldest homes, situated at the confluence of the Bow and Elbow Rivers. Offering lunch and dinner service and weekend brunch!
Local Tip:
Ingredients don’t get much more local than this — in addition to sourcing ingredients from local farmers and ranchers, the restaurant grows herbs and other produce in its backyard garden, often canning goods for year-round use.
