But beyond the well-known and well-loved parts – the rodeo and midway, the animals and the athletes – there is a deeper, more compelling story at the heart of the Stampede. And can only be told here. The Sam Centre is where we bring these stories to life. Where we get to play a part in the stories, and visitors take on a starring role. We celebrate the many characters, listen to diverse perspectives and come together from different backgrounds to experience the Stampede in new and fresh ways. From a wild west dreamer and four financiers who started a ten-day festival to a community-led movement that touches all four corners of the city all-year long, it’s all here.
