Good food. Good people. A dedication to our community and a passion for the arts. Sidewalk Citizen Bakery started as a one-man operation, delivering bread by cart and bicycle. It grew steadily from there: the first location opened on 1A Street in 2010, and in 2015 the bakery moved to its current home in the East Village. Today, dozens of people work with for SCB to make fresh bread, pastries and lunches every day from local ingredients. They also cater a range of daytime events. Their work sits where tradition meets innovation. Honoring centuries-old baking methods while creating exciting new flavour combinations. That means organic artisan sourdough, flaky pastries, irresistible desserts and bright, bold, and nutricious food that will leave you delighted and full.
