The King Eddy’s Musical Legacy
The King Eddy – affectionately known as “The Eddy” by longtime Calgarians – is a legendary dining destination carving a new legacy for all genres of Calgary’s thriving music scene. The National Music Centre restored the heritage building brick by brick to house a live music hub steeped in 100 years of local history. So swing by, grab a drink at the bar and restaurant, and catch the very best of Canadian and touring-out-of-town musical talent. Brunch is served each weekend from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. along with live acoustic music from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Though the King Eddy made a name for itself as a venue for blues music, its stage now welcomes performers from all genres. Check out legendary live performances from the best in Canadian talent all year long. Celebrated as a hub for live music, the King Eddy is the 2020 CCMA Award winner for Country Club of the Year. It’s also home to the iconic Rolling Stones Mobile Studio which is parked next to the King Eddy stage! The King Eddy Rooftop is open-air sanctuary in the heart of the East Village for cold brews, street food-style bites, and live music. The rooftop has been outfitted with a large pergola with a retractable awning and is open seasonally for events.
