About the event
Join Crys Harse for an engaging three-hour workshop where you'll learn the art of rush weaving by creating your very own stool from beautiful seagrass. This hands-on experience invites you to explore a traditional seat weaving technique that can be adapted to various materials.
In this workshop, you will receive a locally made oak stool frame and dive into the intricacies of weaving with twisted seagrass. While rush weaving has its roots in organic materials like bullrush or cattail, we will use pre-twisted natural seagrass as a wonderful alternative, ensuring your stool retains an authentic vintage feel.
