 l learn the art of rush weaving by creating your very own stool from beauti
 ful seagrass. This hands-on experience invites you to explore a traditional
  seat weaving technique that can be adapted to various materials.\n\nIn thi
 s workshop\, you will receive a locally made oak stool frame and dive into 
 the intricacies of weaving with twisted seagrass. While rush weaving has it
 s roots in organic materials like bullrush or cattail\, we will use pre-twi
 sted natural seagrass as a wonderful alternative\, ensuring your stool reta
 ins an authentic vintage feel.\n\nAbout the Artist:\n\nCrys Harse (Calgary\
 , AB) holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Alberta College of Art + Desig
 n. As a metalsmith and basket maker with a passion for form and surface tex
 ture\, she is drawn to vessels and small-scale sculpture. Crys explores the
  connections between metalsmithing and basketry\, as well as her ongoing wo
 rk with etched and wrinkled surfaces. Influenced by weaving and basketry\, 
 her work interlaces different disciplines\, blending textile techniques wit
