Ukrainian Folk Band HUP!

We invite you to the solo concert of HUP in Calgary.

You will hear authentic Ukrainian traditional songs from different ethnographic regions of the country, presented in a variety of arrangements — from archaic a cappella singing to rhythmic and energetic folk rock.

HUP carries in its music a living tradition — one that may change with time, yet continues to reveal deeper and deeper meanings.

Ukrainian folk art is a bridge across time and generations, through which love, memory, and respect for the heritage of our ancestors are preserved and refined — along with a responsibility to future generations of Ukrainians.

Give yourself the opportunity to enjoy joyful and playful songs that naturally stand alongside those that make you want to pause for a few seconds, sit in silence, and let your emotions speak.

Admission is free. Registration is required.
