There are songs everywhere waiting to be discovered: a riverside walk through changing leaves, a late-night conversation with a friend, a good book, an uncomfortable flight, a grief, a joy. Join indie-folk artist Von Bieker for a workshop diving into systems for capturing the extraordinary in our everyday surroundings and making those raw elements accessible for our songwriting process.

Von Bieker has recent success with his album “DUMB HOPE” reaching #6 on Earshots weekly Folk/Routes/Blues chart, #45 on CKUA radio’s top albums of 2024, and Edmonton Journal's “The 10 must-listen albums of Edmonton Artists 2024”.

This workshop is part of 7 workshops series (can attend all or select) with the Rocky Mountain Listening Room for the headlining artists who are performing the following evening.

Attendees under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a guardian and able to sit quietly throughout the workshop.
