About the event
Join us for a lively, family-friendly afternoon of performances and intercultural exchange.
The program is expected to feature traditional Southern lion dance, dragon dance and live percussion, alongside performances by Nordic Folkdance Society of Calgary, SkipTime Calgary, and Aura Dance Crew, showcasing folk dance, rope skipping and K-pop dance.
Together, these performers bring different traditions, rhythms and forms of movement into one shared downtown celebration.
Discover the energy and artistry of lion dance, enjoy local talent, and explore how cultural expression can connect people across generations and backgrounds. Planned interactive activities will also offer opportunities to learn more about lion dance and experience basic movements.
