About the event
A queer western movie night
Thursday, October 29 at 6:30 p.m. | The City of the Rockies
Put on your boots, take out your hat and come discover Lunar Sway , a queer film with western overtones, presented in English with English subtitles.
For this special evening, La Cité des Rocheuses, Rainbow Room and End of the Rainbow invite you to experience cinema differently, in an atmosphere where cinema, queer culture, western universe and community meet .
Come as you are… with a Western twist!?
Boots, hats, denim, bandanas, western shirts or fringes are all welcome. No need for a full costume: a simple accessory is enough to complete the look!
Before the screening, the Café Théâtre will transform into a queer saloon , complete with country and queer country music, themed drinks, and a few surprises. Take this opportunity to grab a drink, meet other attendees, and get in the mood before the film.
After the screening, we invite you to stay for a conversation with the audience about some of the themes addressed in the film: the feeling of belonging, the chosen family, identity and the place of LGBTQ+ people in small communities and rural areas.
An evening to discover a film, share impressions, meet new people and celebrate the diversity of backgrounds and communities.
