Improv 201: Intro Part 2 - 6 WEEKS

Improv 201: Intro Part 2 This is a six week course with sessions running 7:30-9:30pm on the following Wednesdays: May 6, 13, 20, 27, June 3, 10.  Classes are for students aged 18+ Please register with your preferred name so we know who will be in the class and what to call you! Prerequisite: Improv 101, or the recommendation of a Calgary Improv School instructor. Ask Devin if you have questions about your level. Continue building on what you learned in Improv 101, and wade into spontaneous agreement, character, and stage skills. Note: If 13 or more registrations occur, this class will be split into two separate classes running simultaneously in different rooms with different instructors. Students who register will be notified if this split occurs, and will be given the option to indicate instructor and classmate preferences. Instructor: Francis Taman A graduate of Mount Royal University and the Kinkonauts’ Conservatory Programs, Francis’ improv journey began as a teacher in rural Alberta with a copy of Keith Johnstone’s Impro and a burning desire to do improv. In the intervening years, Francis has lectured and taught legal, improv and communication skills in Canada, the United States and Australia. He is currently completing his Master’s of Education in Adult Education where his thesis is focused on the use of improv to reduce public speaking anxiety.
