About the event
Everything you always wanted to know about humour but were too serious to ask! Explore the history and theory of comedy, the fundamentals of joke-writing, and how comedic writing is used across different forms. Drawing on the instructor’s experience as a Juno-nominated stand-up comedian, author, editor of a literary humour imprint, playwright, and television writer, as well as contributions to CBC comedies such as The Debaters and This Hour Has 22 Minutes, this class combines lectures, in-class writing prompts, and group discussions.
