Flanagan/Prentice Quartet

Join Edmonton Drummer, Tony Flanagan and Calgary Saxophonist, Mitchell Prentice as they reunite on the bandstand for one night only! 

Mitchell and Tony met while studying at Grant Macewan University and quickly bonded over their shared musical interests. They have collaborated on several projects together and performed across the province. 

Tony Flanagan’s drumming is a dynamic force creating rhythms that resonate from the heart of Edmonton’s vibrant music scene. A graduate of MacEwan University, Tony has quickly become an emerging voice in the jazz world as a member of the Out of Pocket Trio and Mbira Renaissance Band.

Mitchell Prentice has quickly become one of Calgary's foremost tenor saxophonists. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from MacEwan University in Music Performance. Mitchell draws musical influence from his hero, Sonny Rollins. He is currently performing across the city with contemporary, experimental and jazz ensembles.
