About the event
Join us for a hands-on workshop inspired by the visual structures in Stacking Crates to Reach a Banana by Richard Ibghy & Marilou Lemmens. Children will create their own compositions using colourful, translucent shapes. Working with a tangram-style approach, children will cut, arrange, and experiment with geometric forms while exploring space, composition, and how light and layering can transform a flat surface.
What to expect: The session begins with a 25-minute guided tour of selected works from Stacking Crates to Reach a Banana, followed by a hands-on art-making activity.
Our Free onsite Contemporary Kids programs invite children to learn about modern and contemporary art through unique and engaging art activities.
For children ages 5-12. Maximum group of 25 children, with one guardian per child.
