Block Heater Music Festival

The Calgary Folk Music Festival’s 11th annual winter celebration starts with our kick-off party at Festival Hall on February 5 and moves to The Confluence February 6–7, 2026 - where the Bow and Elbow rivers meet, and where music and community collide for an all-encompassing winter wonderland filled with great vibes, local food vendors, a skating rink, kids programming, firepits, and all sorts of folkie family fun. Groove under a large heated tent and three indoor stages with tunes to melt the frost right off your toque. From marquee artists to emerging local gems, Block Heater is our frosty answer to the summer festival — a chance to plug in, chill out, and dance off those winter blues.

Featuring headlining performances by Cedric Burnside, Field Guide, Fruit Bats (solo), Goldie Boutilier, Jeremie Albino, Joel Plaskett, and The War and Treaty.

Kids 12 and under get in free. Youth/Student/Senior discount tickets available. Festival passes, day passes and more flexible ticket options.
