In their latest books, Harriet Alida Lye (Motherclown) and Larissa Pham (Discipline) explore creativity, desire, devotion, and deceit. Though mentors and mothers thwart their protagonists at every turn, they discover how far they’re willing to go for their art. The event is hosted by Anne Logan, book enthusiast behind I’ve Read This and CBC Calgary columnist.
This event is part of Wordfest’s Imaginairium festival, running October 13–18, 2026. Meet more than 50 writers, thinkers, activists, and inspirers from around the world in Calgary. Wordfest also presents authors across every genre throughout the year.
