About the event
Workshop Theatre proudly presents:
ARSENIC AND OLD LACE
By Joseph Kesselring | Directed by Jacquie Goth Brennan
Drama critic Mortimer Brewster’s engagement announcement takes a darkly hilarious turn when he finds a corpse in his elderly aunts’ window seat. Racing to warn Abby and Martha, Mortimer soon discovers they not only know about the body—they’re responsible!
Add a brother who believes he’s Teddy Roosevelt, another hiding behind plastic surgery, and Mortimer’s own cold feet about marriage, and it’s a miracle if he makes it to the altar.
Arsenic and Old Lace is a classic black comedy about the only thing more deadly than poison: family.
Presented by special arrangement with Broadway Licensing, LLC, servicing the Dramatists Play Service collection.
