Skiing & Snowboarding
Calgarians have been learning to ski and snowboard at the slopes above the Bow River since the 1960s when it was known as Paskapoo Hill. It continues to provide an incredible opportunity to improve your skills right in the city and get some great views of the Calgary skyline.
Groomed Runs
If you're looking to cruise the perfectly groomed corduroy snow that Canada Olympic Park is known for, take the 88’ Express Chairlift to the top of the hill. You can then decide if you want to take a green, blue, or black diamond run down the 129 m (393 ft) slope to the base.

Terrain Parks
There are three separate terrain parks to help you advance your freestyle skills:
West Terrain Park – medium to large rails, large jumps ranging from 25-40 ft (7.6 - 12.2 m), and a 22-ft (6.7 m) halfpipe - the largest of its kind in Western Canada.
Progression Park – small to large rails and a mini pipe.
Beginner Park – small rails and obstacles.
Beginner Area
The Beginner Area is the perfect place to get comfortable if you or your little one is new to skiing or riding. There are three magic carpets so you’re never far from a ride back up to the top of the run.
Canada Olympic Park is also home to one of Canada’s largest ski and snowboard schools. They offer a wide range of lessons for all ages.
Ski and snowboard rentals are available on site.
Tubing
The Servus Tube Park at WinSport is one of the largest in Western Canada. It’s the perfect family-friendly winter activity for visitors to the city or locals looking to try something different. No experience is required to ride these soft inflatable tubes down the 8 groomed tube runs.
The best part - there’s a magic carpet ready to take you back to the top of the hill.
The park is typically ready to go by mid-December. It is easily accessible from the Frank King Day Lodge, with washrooms and food nearby.

Mountain Biking
In the summer, the ski slopes at Canada Olympic Park turn into a paradise for mountain bikers. With over 25 km (15.5 mi) of trails, there is adventure at the WinSport Bike Park for all levels of riders. It’s a great first stop to get some laps in before heading to the mountains.
Terrain
The Gromville trail network is a great beginner area at the base if you're newer to mountain biking.
Intermediate to advanced riders can take the 88’ Express Chairlift to the top of Canada Olympic Park where you’ll be able to choose between two types of terrain during your ride back down:
Technical trails – these contain natural obstacles and stunts such as rocks, roots, logs, and drops.
Freeride trails - these contain machine-cut and man-made features like dirt jumps, boxes, gaps, and berms.
There is one green trail from the top of the chairlift and the rest are blue and black diamond trails.
