For the first two weeks of July, the Calgary Stampede takes over the entire city. Of course, you are going to spend plenty of time at the Calgary Stampede itself. But don’t miss out on all the amazing events and specials happening throughout Calgary during Stampede.
Stampede Parade
The Stampede Parade has served as the kickoff to The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth since 1912. The procession of colourful floats, majestic horses, and high-energy marching bands winds through 18 blocks of downtown Calgary. The 2025 parade marshal is Canada’s own country music superstar Shania Twain .

The Calgary Stampeders take on the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the first-ever Stampede Bowl, kicking off a new CFL tradition. Enjoy a high-energy halftime show featuring Bret Michaels .
