Calgary Pride Parade & Festival

The Calgary Pride Parade & Festival will return August 31–September 6, 2026, with the Calgary Pride Parade on September 6!

Centred around the Labour Day Weekend in September, Calgary Pride takes place at the beginning of September allowing for celebrations to occur all summer long starting in the Nationally recognized Pride Month in June.

Each year Calgary plays host to one of its most colourful and fastest growing festivals, Calgary Pride . With its parade, performances, and community events, the city shows extra love for its 2SLGBTQ+ community and visitors who have come from near and far to celebrate.

Throughout the summer, especially in August, you can find pop-up rainbow installations throughout Calgary’s downtown neighbourhoods including colourfully painted crosswalks, sidewalks, and bridges. During the Festival the Calgary Tower is lit up to support the 2SLGBTQ+ community. On Parade Day , thousands of Calgarians and visitors of all ages line the Parade route to share their sentiment of equal love.

In 2025 the annual Calgary Pride festivities are set to return to their beloved venue, Prince's Island Park , offering a welcoming space for all to come together and celebrate. This year's lineup promises a mix of adult-focused celebrations, family-friendly activities, and a delightful movie night under the stars.

Prince's Island Park, nestled in the heart of Calgary, has long been a cherished venue for the city's Pride celebrations. With its lush greenery, serene bodies of water, and open spaces, the park provides an idyllic setting that feels like a home away from home for the 2SLGBTQ+ community and its allies. Returning to this picturesque location amplifies the sense of belonging and unity that defines the Pride movement.

Kick off the second day of festivities on Sunday, by taking in the vibrant Pride Parade . As the city comes alive with a spectrum of colours, lively music, and jubilant spirits, participants will march through the streets, sending a powerful message of unity and acceptance. The parade stands as a testament to the progress made while highlighting the ongoing efforts towards a more inclusive society.
