When school is out, summer is in! FINALLY time for adventure!

Whether you are a local or a visitor, it’s so much fun to explore Calgary and beyond.

I love to check out everything the city has to offer and, whether you’re a kid or an adult, there are fun things to do at some of Calgary’s attractions.

Here’s 6 places you absolutely have to visit this summer!

The Zoo is so much fun to visit with the entire family or your BFF's!

Go see a family of Pandas at Calgary Zoo

The Pandas are so funny to watch.

When you get to the Calgary Zoo, spend hours of adventure going on a scavenger hunt and learn all about the animals and their habitats. Ride the wildlife carousel that features 30 endangered animals from all seven continents. It’s fun for all ages!

Stop by the play park and enjoy animal-themed slides, tunnels and mazes. Don’t forget to check the Prehistoric Park where kids can become paleontologists and look for bones in the Dino Dig.

Travel back in time and learn “how the West was once” with over 180 buildings and exhibits that make you feel like you’ve stepped back in time. Catch a ride on the steam train or a horse-drawn wagon, cool off with an old-fashioned ice cream at the Vulcan Ice Cream Parlour, and enjoy a fresh cheese bun from Alberta Bakery.

Calgary’s Heritage Park offers a unique blend of history and fun.

Crafts at TELUS Spark

Getting my creative juices flowing at TELUS Spark

Fire up those neurons at TELUS Spark

Get your (science) geek on with tons of interactive activities at TELUS Spark. Learn new skills, get wowed by live science demo, watch a movie in the dome theatre and then play outside in the Brainasium. Test your balance on a giant log, climb a 36-foot tall rope tower and slide down a 63 foot-long slide. Yeah! You can do all that and more. Get your brains in motion this summer and learn through play.

Turn your world upside down: have a ball in a Zorb! At Cobb’s Adventure Park, you can walk on water without getting wet with the Funballz, try your skills on a Rope Course, impress your friends with flips and tricks on the Euro Bungy Jump, and channel your inner "Hunger Games" at Archery Tag. It’s a great place to enjoy tons of outdoor activities this summer.

Canola fields at Aspen Crossing

Seriously, these canola fields are Instagram heaven!

Take a scenic and super fun ride with Aspen Crossing

All aboard the Circus Train!

Who doesn’t love a circus? Face painting, magical balloon sculptures, magicians and even a train robbery! The Circus Train excursion is just one of 11 different themed train rides you can hop on and enjoy 14 miles of Alberta’s countryside views.

The canola fields in full bloom are my favourite sight and what Instagram dreams are made of. Spend a weekend at the campground sleeping in a caboose cabin, have a meal in the historic 1887 Pullman dining car, and try to escape a historical house that holds dark secrets filled with unresolved mysteries. Aspen Crossing is a unique tourist experience and a great day trip from the city.

Take a trip 300 million years back to when the dinosaurs roamed

Explore prehistoric exhibits, dinosaur fossils and see Palaeontologists at work at the Royal Tyrrell Museum. You can sleepover with the dinosaurs and explore the museum at night. How exciting is that?!

Search for fossils and take in the views of the Badlands, hike the Hoodoo Trail, and be amazed by this unique landscape.

Also in Drumheller, you can climb 106 stairs inside the World’s Largest Dinosaur and roar like a T-Rex when you get to top.

So what are you waiting for? Discover boundless fun in Calgary and surroundings and never stop exploring!
