St. Patrick's Island

Welcoming all Calgarians to experience urban amenities within a natural setting. St. Patrick’s Island can be accessed from the George C. King pedestrian bridge, or from the West zoo parking lot. The 31-acre park offers a playground, picnic area, seasonal beach, fishing cove, a plaza and amphitheater with room for programming, and a rise that offers some of the best views in the city. If you’re heading to the Calgary Zoo, make a stop at St. Patrick’s Island. You can get to it from the West Zoo parking lot.
