Olympic Oval
Centre of excellence
The Olympic Oval is a legacy facility of the 1988 Calgary Olympic Winter Games. The Olympic Oval hosts dozens of national and international speed skating competitions and world cups every year (most of which offer complimentary admission). Additionally, the Oval offers the largest ice surface (400 m) for public skating in the city. If you feel like an indoor run during the winter months, the Oval has a 450 m running track and 8x100 sprint pads. The Olympic Oval has a rich sporting history in Calgary and the Olympic movement as a whole. Stop by and see why this building is more than just a rink. You can visit the Oval and view all the ongoings with its spectacular 180° viewing deck. See why this building continues to be the heart of sport in Calgary and part of a great Olympic legacy. On weekends enjoy public skating on The Fastest Ice in the World™.
