One Yellow Rabbit Performance Theatre

For more than four decades, One Yellow Rabbit has been asking Calgary audiences to expect the unexpected. Since 1982, OYR has championed artists who take creative risks and make work that challenges assumptions, sparks curiosity and changes how we see the world. At its heart is a belief that live performance can shift our perspective and bring people together in unexpected ways. OYR makes room for ideas that push beyond the familiar, giving artists the freedom to follow their instincts and audiences the chance to discover something they didn’t know they were looking for. Every January, the High Performance Rodeo brings three weeks of live performance to Calgary, featuring local, national and international artists. Theatre, dance, comedy and other forms of performance invite audiences into new worlds and unexpected encounters along with experiences that linger long after the curtain falls.
