4 Reasons Circle Carnival is Calgary’s Best Kept Secret

Step right up for a magical carnival experience in Calgary that brings together the best in food, beer, music, art, and live performances. Taking place on Saturday, September 8th, Circle Carnival features a range of craft beer (with a site wide liquor license, meaning that you can enjoy a bevvie while taking in a performance anywhere on the grounds), along with unique live performances across multiple different stages. There’s also a circus school for kids, which makes this the perfect family weekend activity.

This annual family friendly festival is a hidden gem you don’t want to miss and pops up at a different location in Calgary every year (just like the best travelling circuses do). This year the festival will be held at Shaw Millennium Park, and also marks Circle Carnival’s 5th anniversary (which means this year will be bigger and better! It’s the perfect year to put Circle Carnival on your summer hit list). Check out 4 reasons to attend Carnival this year.

4. Family friendly festival fun

Circle Carnival is fun for the entire family, with a full lineup of activities for kids of all ages. Let your kids run away with the circus at the Kids Playland and try stilts, juggling, and tightrope walking at circus school. There is also a dedicated stage just for kids. Explore the Carnival Market which will feature over 20 vendors. Kids will love the Fast “n” Furriest Weiner Dog Race – Presented by VCA. Brand new to 2018, race participants (and non-race contenders for that matter) can also dress up their distinguished Dachshund to compete in the Best Costume contest. Participants have until September 5th to register. Create your own whimsical invention with thousands of LEGO bricks at Lego Land, or tackle the 30 foot inflatable climbing wall, or jump into the new giant 30,000 ball pit for kids and adults to make for a day everyone in the family will be cheering for.
