What do you get when you combine gravity, a hill, and over 50+ twists and turns? Calgary's most addictive summer experience. What started as a wild idea in New Zealand is now one of Calgary’s most beloved summer experiences.
Plan out your gravity-fueled adventure with Downhill Karting.
What to expect
Downhill Karting at WinSport is part go-kart, part toboggan, and 100% powered by the pull of the hill; no engines, just you, the track, and gravity.
Each ride starts with a chairlift to the top, offering unmatched views of the city. Then it’s your turn to take control as you navigate more than 50 twists and turns packed into a 1.8-kilometre paved course. Brake to slow down, release to zoom. Simple enough for kids, exciting enough for adults – it truly is an all-ages adventure!

The story behind the track
This fast-paced adventure has been a local favourite since 2013, operated by Skyline , the New Zealand company behind the original gravity-fuelled experience. The very first track opened in Rotorua, NZ in 1985, and the concept has since taken off around the globe with locations in places like Singapore, South Korea, and Mont-Tremblant. Calgary's track is Skyline's single longest of any location.
