Inglewood Bird Sanctuary
Tucked along the Bow River, the Inglewood Bird Sanctuary has been a haven for migratory birds since 1929. This forested oasis has seen at least 270 species of birds pass through. Birders can stroll through picturesque trails, pathways, and bridges while looking for their next find.
The Nature Centre at the Inglewood Bird Sanctuary offers plenty of learning opportunities about the local flora and fauna. It’s the perfect place to stop for a snack or bathroom break.

Weaselhead Flats
Weaselhead Flats is a sprawling natural area that offers birders a chance to explore diverse habitats, from wetlands to forests. With its winding trails and scenic views, it’s a must-visit for nature lovers.

Confederation Park

Carburn Park

Nose Hill Park

Ralph Klein Park

Anne and Sandy Cross Conservation Area
The Anne and Sandy Cross Conservation Area is a dedicated wildlife preserve just south of Calgary. It covers 4,800 acres of protected land ideal for bird watching. With its diverse mix of grasslands, forests, and rolling hills it attracts many migratory birds.
