All about the outdoors

We have many high-quality multi-chamber floating and whitewater rafts for rent. Choose from over 10,000 rental items, or sign up for a skills program. We also offer guided trips! Learn canoeing, rafting, river or sea kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, backcountry cooking, climbing, bouldering, mountaineering, mountain biking, hiking, navigation, avalanche skills, ice climbing, backcountry skiing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, hang gliding, paragliding, wilderness first aid plus many tuning and repair courses. Only around for a few days? Why not join us for a day hike or snowshoe trip (perfect for out-of-towners) or create your own custom trip with the help of our program coordinators. Go to our website, check out our current program guide or call 403-220-5038 for more information. You'll find the Calgary Outdoor Centre on the University of Calgary Campus near the Olympic Oval. To park in the 15-minute loading zone, take 24th Ave. N.W. west from Crowchild Trail, and turn at Entrance #3.

The Outdoor Centre at the University of Calgary is the largest centre of its kind in North America. Open to everyone, they offer outdoor skills programs, guided trips and over 10,000 rental items for a large variety of activities in all seasons. Programs and trips are created and lead by experienced coordinators that have a variety of high-level certifications in mountaineering, paddling, wilderness first aid, avalanche safety and even hang gliding.
