Lazy Day Raft Rentals is conveniently located on the Bow River in downtown Calgary, where you will complete your trip. The starting point depends on you. The most popular options are to put your raft in at Bowness Park (8900 48 Ave NW), this trip will take three to four hours depending on the flow of the river. Once you set off, you’ll drift past some of the nicest riverfront properties in town and through a section of gultch like banks rise dramatically on your left. There’s a great view of the ski jump from the XV Winter Olympic Games at WinSport and several riverside picnic areas like Edworthy Park, where you can pull over and enjoy a picnic. The second option is to raft or tube down the Elbow River. The Elbow is slower than the mighty Bow and it is perfect for novice rafters. For a nice lazy journey coming in at under two hours, drop your retrieval vehicle in the vicinity of 4th St SW and Elbow Drive, then drive the second vehicle to Sandy Beach at River Park (4500-14 A Street SW). Be sure to park in the area below, closest to the river. The river runs through some of Calgary's poshest neighbourhoods. Now offering shuttle service by reservation, seven days per week to Bowness and Shouldice Park. You should bring: Sunscreen, Camera, we have drinks available for purchase. Deposits are required on all equipment and can be accepted in cash, visa or debit.
