Public art exhibitions and events from September to June. Throughout its rich 90-year history, the Alberta College of Art + Design has shaped the creative and cultural landscape of Alberta, Canada, and beyond as a pre-eminent voice of art, craft and design education. Visit the renowned Illingworth Kerr Gallery showing works of international artists and designers and the Marion Nicoll Gallery showcasing college student work of emerging artists, inspiring experimentation and stimulating dialogue. Public is welcome to attend speaker series with international visiting artists, participate in the school of continuing education with classes for youth/teens and adult and shop at the twice annual Students’ Association Show + Sale; a public art market showcasing student work from several of the College’s programs including: painting, drawing, ceramic, fibre, printmaking, sculpture, glass, photography, and jewelry. All proceeds support the student body.

What's Great

A hub for artists, entrepreneurs, designers and makers. The Calgary institution was founded in 1926, and grants certificates, diplomas, and a Bachelor of Design degree. Exhibits and a twice-yearly art show and sale give visitors a glimpse into the work of emerging artists.
