About the event
Wellbriety is a transformative recovery movement that integrates Native American cultural wisdom with contemporary sobriety practices, like the 12-step framework, to guide Indigenous individuals and communities toward healing from addiction and historical trauma.
Initiated by Don Coyhis of the Mohican Nation, it focuses on restoring balance through spiritual connection, cultural pride, and communal support, employing sacred practices such as the Medicine Wheel, sharing circles, and traditional rituals.
By addressing deep-rooted intergenerational wounds, Wellbriety fosters holistic wellness and resilience, offering tailored resources, grassroots initiatives, and national gatherings to empower Indigenous people in their journey to sobriety and self-discovery.
