About the event
Welcome to the Warli Painting : Guided Workshop! Today, we are exploring an ancient, folk art originating from the tribal communities of Maharashtra. Dating back millennia, Warli art is all about celebrating the harmony between nature and human life using simple geometric shapes—circles, triangles, and squares.Ever wondered how simple lines and shapes can tell beautiful stories?
In this workshop, you will discover the magic of India's traditional Warli tribal art. Using basic geometry, we’ll bring to life village scenes, nature, and the famous Tarpa dance—all while connecting with creativity and relaxing your mind.We are using the canvas of Warli art as a tool for emotional release.
This ancient tribal art is built entirely on three shapes: the circle (representing the sun and moon), the triangle (representing mountains and trees), and the square (representing human-made space). Just as the tribal artists use these simple pieces to make sense of their vast world, we will use them today to declutter our minds. Think of every brushstroke as a slow, deliberate breath. Let go of daily stress, embrace the soothing repetition, and watch how simplicity can bring profound inner peace.
