Gather around the fire where the Bow and Elbow rivers meet for a morning of captivating and educational tales with Elder Lee Crowchild from Tsuut’ina Nation. The confluence of the Bow and Elbow rivers has been a place of gathering since time immemorial. Join third generation Chief of Tsuut’ina Nation Elder Lee Crowchild around the fire where the rivers meet for a morning of captivating and educational tales. A lifelong learner of Tsuut’ina’s cultural worldview, Lee was the sitting Chief of Tsuut’ina from 2016-2019. From stories about his life, his work to diligently build bridges between other First Nations and the rest of Canada, and experiences with the Assembly of First Nations, the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network and more, don't miss this opportunity to deepen your understanding of the diverse Indigenous cultures that make up Treaty 7. Tickets include admission to The Confluence Cultural Centre and a warm beverage (coffee, tea or hot chocolate). This is an outdoor event. Please dress appropriately for weather conditions. In the event of inclement weather or unsafe temperatures (below -21 including wind chill), the program will be moved indoors.
