The Holiday (2006) | 'Season's Screenings' at The GRAND

This December, we're screening The Holiday at The GRAND. Nancy Meyers’ much-loved romantic comedy follows two women on opposite sides of the Atlantic who decide to swap homes for the holidays. Iris (Kate Winslet), nursing a broken heart in an English village, trades places with Amanda (Cameron Diaz), a film trailer producer escaping a messy breakup in sunny Los Angeles. What neither expects is that a change of scenery might lead to something entirely unexpected.

With Jude Law and Jack Black rounding out a seriously charming cast, The Holiday is a love letter to fresh starts, unlikely connections and the delicious possibility of falling for someone when you least expect it. Think cosy English cottages, California sunshine, snow-dusted romance and a soundtrack that feels like a warm hug.
