About the event
Join us for a free, four-day public exhibition featuring stories, art, photos, and films that broaden our understanding of dementia.
Taking It to the Streets – Calgary is a public exhibition that challenges common assumptions about dementia through art, photography, storytelling, poetry, film, and community voices. Rather than focusing only on loss and decline, Taking It to the Streets asks visitors to consider what becomes possible when we listen differently to the experiences of people living with dementia — making room for stories of connection, creativity, humour, resilience, hope, and possibility alongside the challenges.
