StorySlam YYC presents stories of Love and Loss

Grab a mic or just listen in as folks share tales of love and loss at StorySlam YYC!

Come spend an evening with StorySlam YYC, where people get up and tell true (or true-ish), 5–8 minute stories around a shared theme.

Our first theme is Love & Loss — relationships, heartbreaks, near misses, big loves, small losses, messy endings, and everything in between. And it doesn’t have to be romantic: friendship, family, pets, places, jobs, something you thought you wanted, someone you still miss, or something you lost and are actually pretty happy about.

Funny, sad, ridiculous, heartfelt, awkward — whatever. Just make it yours.

Rather judge? We’ll draw three people from the audience to score the stories and help decide who takes the night.

And yes, there’s a winner. The event is free, but bring some cash for the prize pot. At the end of the night, the winning storyteller takes it home.

Don’t want to tell a story or judge one? That’s completely fine too. Grab a drink, find a seat, and come listen.
