About the event
Lulu Lamontagne
Making their riveting onstage debut in January 2025, Lulu Lamontagne has already garnered a fanatical following in their hometown of Montreal and across southern Canada with their modernized glam-punk sound and theatrical stage show. With further single releases and a debut album arriving this year, Lulu is as inevitable as the changing of the seasons.
SHY FRiENDBrutally honest, tragically dramatic, and full of feminine rage, alt rock six-piece SHY FRiEND has been turning the Alberta music scene into a church for all the queer, pop and punk misfits. They create over-the-top experiences with bombastic visuals, absurd bits, and raucous energy that makes every venue a party, and every oddball in the room a valued guest.
Birds of PrrreyLoud music for big hearts is what this scrappy three-piece is all about. Birds of Prrrey pay homage to the riot grrrl movement through their DIY artistic ethos, and channel the spirit of feminist punk through their powerful vocals and gnarled-up guitar riffing. Finely honed in Montreal's underground scene, they bring passion and intensity to every performance.Sub // CellThere's a veteran pedigree behind the evolving local garage rock monster Sub / / Cell. Featuring members of Window Lamp, Parisian Orgy, Lushings and Cheer, this supergroup’s swampy approach to post-punk owes as much to The Jesus and Mary Chain as it does to its prairie surf essence, throwing just the right reverb and melodic hooks to reel listeners in.
